Beige is an unique colour because it can assume various color tones depending on the surrounding colours. It has got the warmth of the brown and the freshness of the white. In design beige is generally used in backgrounds assuming the characteristics of the surrounding colours. This means that it has the role to emphasize the other colour shades.
Black is the strongest of the neutral colours. It is associated to power, elegance and formality. It is usually used in captivating or elegant designs.
Combined to other colours it can be conservative or modern, traditional or unconventional. it is a means to refinement and solidness.
Blue is mostly used to represent calmness, responsibility and professionalism. Light blue variations can be refreshing and cordial. On the other hand dark blue is stronger and more reliable. Blue is also associated to
peace. Its meaning is strongly influenced by its tone. In design the exact tone of blue has an enormous impact on the illustration perception. Light blues often have a relaxing and calming effect. Bright light blues can give energy and freshness whereas dark blue is used to emphasize reliability and concreteness.
Grey is a neutral colour, generally considered as a junction between all the colours. It is often associated to intelligence due to its presence in the business world. It is generally used in business projects, where formal and
professional characteristics are fundamental. It can be also a sophisticated colour. “pure” greys are just black shades but some greys can have blue or brown tones.
It is the color of prestige, of purity, wisdom and quality. The gold color is the color that can transmit sensations, so therefore able to attract attention, especially when used in combination with warm colors.
Used in conjunction with black, it creates a combination able to unleash a remarkable harmonic power.
By definition green is the colour of the nature, it represents a fresh start and a phase of growth joined to renewal and abundance.
Tis colour is generally used in luxurious, for renewal and natural projects.
Light greens are the most energetic and vibrant ones whereas olive greens, that are less saturated, represent more the natural world. On the other hand, dark green is more stable and represents a sense of well-being.

Often it is associated to pureness, kindness and virtue.
In design, white is generally considered a fundamental neutral colour. It is a means to bring the other colours out. It instills a sense of cleanliness and simplicity. Often it is used in minimalist designs.
